A true family farm operation is one in which each family member contributes on a weekly basis.  Correctly dividing each family member's responsibilities opens doors by utilizing each person's strengths.  This family integrates a variety of qualities into the operation.  A savvy for the market, management, technology, business, and the economy by more than one family member will keep Moss Family Farms at the top of the agricultural industry for many years to come.

Mary has primary responsibility for bookkeeping, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxes, licenses, and supply acquisition.  Her primary office location is in the household, which she prefers to call headquarters.  She is in charge of all secretarial work for each of the family's entities.

Jason is primary in vendor and landlord public relations along with seasonal part-time crew management and farmstead cosmetics.  He is currently studying Agricultural Economics at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.

Jaron is our direct operations manager, including setup, maintenance, and operation of computers and equipment for planting, harvesting, grain center, and hog barn.  His mechanical inclination is beneficial on all fronts of the family farm.

Megan and Michelle work with the hogs and crops.  In the hog building, they primarily handle hog building health management and communication with the veterinarian.  Besides swine, Megan and Michelle assist in seasonal crop operations via scouting and record keeping.

Jerry coordinates these efforts of the family and 5 - 6 seasonal crop employees.  Managing nearly 20,000 acres in Iowa for the owner of The Iowa Packing Co. and private financial and managerial consultation, in addition to the family farm gives him more than a full-time job.
